Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information gathered during a visit, why it may be used, and the circumstances in which another service may receive it. Use of Runnels County Court Docket signifies acceptance of these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

Terms entered into a search tool are sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies results. Runnels County Court Docket does not retain those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email may be kept as needed to answer it. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Standard technical records may be created when a page loads. They can include:

  • Device IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device and operating-system type
  • Pages viewed and approximate visit duration
  • Referring site, when available
  • Date and time of page access

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies and analytics tools help measure traffic, page use, and technical performance. Browser controls can block cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.

What We Do With This Data

  • Operate, secure, and improve the website
  • Route a search to the selected partner
  • Measure which material visitors use
  • Diagnose errors and performance issues
  • Deliver advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Court-Record Data on File

Runnels County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of case records. It provides directions to the District Clerk, County Clerk, local courts, and re:SearchTX. Texas case records remain with the originating court or clerk. Although the Texas Public Information Act is the state's broad public-information law, OCA explains that adjudicative court case records are governed by separate court-record law and rules. Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 applies to covered judicial records, not as a substitute appeal process for ordinary case-record denials. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through a tool is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention terms, and sharing rules. Review those terms before searching.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Texas courts, Runnels County clerks, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this domain, the destination's privacy policy controls. Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

  • Partners processing a requested search
  • Analytics and performance providers
  • Advertising networks serving site content
  • Authorities responding to valid legal process

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for collected information. No internet service can promise absolute security or guarantee that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Information known to have been submitted by a minor will be deleted when identified.

Your Data Rights

Rights vary with residence and applicable Texas consumer-protection and privacy law. A visitor may request:

  • Access to personal data held by the site
  • Correction of inaccurate information
