Why We Built This Site
Texas permits public access to many court records, yet finding the right custodian can be difficult. Runnels County uses a split clerk system. The District Clerk keeps district criminal, civil, family, and juvenile filings. The County Clerk keeps County Court criminal, civil, probate, and mental-health matters. JP and municipal clerks maintain their own lower-court dockets. The statewide re:SearchTX service and the County Clerk's LGS index add useful online routes, but neither replaces the originating clerk. The site brings those distinctions, official contacts, search paths, and request steps together.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guidance: how Runnels County criminal docket searches and civil docket searches differ
- Court settings: ways to check court dates and hearings with the proper office
- Case lookup: how to search official systems by name or cause number
- Record requests: where to seek docket sheets, filed documents, and certified copies
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site with no affiliation to a Texas court, clerk, or government agency. Its role has firm limits:
- It cannot retrieve an official docket or file for a visitor
- It cannot set, change, or confirm a hearing
- It cannot seal, remove, or amend a court entry
- It cannot issue a certified court record
- It cannot provide legal advice about a case
- It cannot guarantee that a listed fee, contact, or procedure remains current
An official or certified docket must come from the clerk or court that maintains the original Runnels County record.
Search Partners
Some content pages contain search tools supplied by outside companies. Each provider controls its service, results, privacy practices, and prices. A paid signup reached through such a tool may generate a referral fee that supports free access to this resource. The site does not control a partner's charges or guarantee its results.
